We designed a privacy-first form experience that encrypts sensitive submissions before they become ordinary application data.
Confide was built to solve a simple but important problem: collecting sensitive information through forms without forcing users to trust a conventional form provider with their private responses.
Traditional form tools make collecting information easy, but sensitive submissions still pass through third-party infrastructure and can become accessible to systems that don't need to see them. Confide explores a more privacy-first approach, using encrypted submissions so the form can handle sensitive data without treating user responses as ordinary, openly accessible form data.
The result is a form experience that keeps the convenience of modern forms while putting privacy much closer to the core of the product.
We designed the entire submission flow around privacy, encrypting sensitive responses before they could become ordinary application data. This allowed the product to preserve the familiar simplicity of a modern form while fundamentally changing how submitted information is handled.
Rather than bolting privacy onto an existing form architecture, we treated encryption and controlled access as core parts of the system from the start, creating a foundation that can support sensitive use cases without sacrificing the user experience.
